My Lord! I'm Yours and only yours (नाथ मैँ थारो जी थारो) !!

नाम-जपसे जो भी ऊँची-से-ऊँची स्थिति अन्य किसी साधनसे प्राप्त हो सकती है, वह प्राप्त हो जाती है - यह मेरा विश्वास है!

साधाककी वृत्ति उत्तरोत्तर भगवान् के नाम-रूप -गुण-चिन्तनमें ही लगती जाय! आरम्भमें वृत्ति दूसरी और जाती है; पर उसमें यह सावधानी रखनी चाहिए कि वह या तो उधर जाय ही नहीं और यदि जाय तो भगवान् कि सेवाकी भावनासे ही! भगवान् की सेवाकी भावनाके अतिरिक्त दुसरे किसी भी भावसे वृत्तिका जाना निचे स्तरका है!

मन वृत्तियोंका समूह है! वृत्ति जब एक विषयमें जाकर उसके रूपकी हो जाती है, तब उसको 'ध्यान 'कहते हैं !

शरीरका आराम, नामका नाम और जीभका स्वाद-साधकके लिये ये तीन बड़े विघ्न हैं!

DUTY

Man can fulfill his duty in every situation. The real nature of duty is - SERVING, in other words, the things that are received from the world, are to be utilized in the welfare of the world.

The psyche of the man who fulfills his duty is naturally joyful. On the other hand, the psyche of the man who does not fulfill his duty is naturally sullen.

An aspirant is free of infatuation when he does not regard the body-senses-mind-intellect as either "mine" or "for me" and believes them to belong to the world and for the world, and thus promptly engages in dutiful acts for the welfare of the world

At present times the the main reason lack of peace, bickering, and friction that is seen in homes and in society, is that people demand their rights, but they do not fulfill their duties.

No duty is small or big. The smallest of duties and the biggest of duties, are equal when understood as being one's duty (and done with an attitude of serving).

That by which other's are benefited that itself is duty. That by which anyone is harmed, it is not duty.

It is only due to likes-dislikes that man finds it laborious and difficult in fulfilling his duty

*** *** *** ***

That which one should do and which one can do is called "duty". Not fulfilling one's duty is a slip (mistake). Making mistakes is mode of ignorance (tamo guna), and "tamo guna" is hell - "Narakastmaunnaahah" (Srimad Bhagwat 11/19/43).

The actions that are done for one's pleasure are "unreal" (asat) and those actions that are done for other's well-being are "real" (sat). The result of unreal (asat) actions is birth and death cycle and the outcome of "real" (sat) actions is God Realization.

Do the best-of-best work, but do so without believing the world to be stable (unchanging).

He who is without any desires, he can fulfill his duty with promptitude.

*** *** *** ***

The one who see towards others duty, can never be fulfilling his own duty. Because seeing towards other's duty is "non-duty".

By doing actions for one's own self, starts "non-duty".

By properly fulfilling one's duty (dharma) one becomes detached - "dharma te virati" (Manas 3/16/1). If one does not develop detachment, then understand that duties have not been properly fulfilled.

Knowledge about our duty is present in us. However, due to having desires and affection (sense of mine-ness), we are unable to desire on our duty.

All fours "varnas" and "asharams" (stages in life) a good person is he who fulfills his duty. He who shirks (refrains from doing) his duty, becomes small.

All relationships of this world are only to fulfill our duty, not for exerting our rights. They are neither for giving pleasure nor for taking pleasure.

When there is only one aim of attaining one's good (salvation), then without reading the scriptures also one will know about one's duty. But when the aim is not seeing towards one's welfare, then even on studying the holy texts, one will not gain knowledge about one's duty, on the contrary, ignorance will increase that I know !
